Globe Valves
ANSI B16.34 DESIGN (API 600 WALL THICKNESS)
Complete Solutions for Industrial Valve Manufacturing
Globe valves are most commonly used where throttling or both throttling and shutoff are required. Globe valves can also be used for on-off service, but because of high pressure drops, on-off service usage is usually confined to applications where the valve is normally closed and pressure drop is not important when the valve is open. The flow control element of the globe valve (the disc) moves along the axis of the fluid path. The disc is always in the fluid path. Because the globe valve is designed for both throttling and shutoff, they should not be used for prolonged periods of throttling at less than 10% open. Internal damage can occur. Warren Valve specialists will be glad to discuss your requirements and applications with you.
Globe Valves should be sized to match the existing pipe lines. Globe valves come in a variety of body/bonnet materials and trim materials, and should be selected according to the service in which the valve will be placed. Special precautions should be taken to the media going through the valve as well as the pressure/temperature limitations the valve will be operating within.
Globe valves have numerous types of body/bonnet joints for your specific needs. Some types for you to choose from are bolted bonnet, pressure-seal bonnet, welded bonnet, threaded bonnet, or union bonnet. These different types of bonnets are usually furnished based on the pressure allowances of the valve itself. Different styles of end configurations are available as well.
Warren Valves can also accommodate you with most any type of valve modification needed. We can provide trim changes, gearing/actuation, end configuration changes, cryogenic columns, handwheel extensions for buried or unburied services, and many more options which we will be happy to discuss with you dependent upon your requirements.
More detailed information, such as Cv values, top works detail, torques, etc. is available from our valve group personnel.
