Alloy 600
Description
Alloy 600 offers corrosion and heat resistance as well as exceptional mechanical properties. A nickel chromium iron alloy, Alloy 600 is valued for its integration of high strength and good workability in diverse temperatures.
Design features
- Exceptional resistance to corrosion from inorganic and organic compounds due to high nickel content
- Virtually invulnerable to chlorideon stress corrosion cracking
- Resistant to sulfur compounds and oxidizing conditions in corrosive environments or at high temperatures
- Hardened and strengthened solely by cold work
- Ideal for applications from cryogenic temperatures to those above 2,000° F (1093° C)
